When you are involved in legal proceedings, it is very important that your forms are the correct ones. Anything you file with the court has to follow the requirements of state and local statutes, court rules and legal precedents. Any court filing that doesn’t follow these rules can be thrown out of court. For that reason, it’s often best practice to follow the structure and language of motions that have worked successfully in Pennsylvania courts in the past.
The Allegheny County Law Library (ACLL) has many of the most common legal forms already printed and available for our patrons. But sometimes you need something more specific to your situation. For those situations, the ACLL has access to many print and electronic resources that can offer more options, such as Dunlap-Hanna Pennsylvania Forms.
For 180 years, Dunlap-Hanna Pennsylvania Forms has been one of the most respected sources in Pennsylvania law for legal forms. It provides 14 volumes of forms, example motions and legal templates on a wide variety of legal topics. These forms are all written by legal experts and have been tested in court.
Dunlap-Hanna Pennsylvania Forms can be found in print at the ACLL, or electronically through the Lexis database or the Lexis Digital Library. If you know the specific form that you need, you can contact the ACLL staff at ACLL@carnegielibrary.org and we can email you a copy of that form.
If you are interested in accessing specialized legal information remotely, please consider requesting an Allegheny County Law Library membership. Membership helps to support the Law Library and gives those representing themselves in Court, practicing law, working in non-profits, and others remote access to specialized legal resources.
If you’re looking for more book suggestions, we’re happy to recommend them to you! Use this Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh Book Recommendation form to send us some information about what you like to read, and we’ll curate a list just for you.
