Community Legal Resource Fair

Join us for a day of learning and connection with legal information experts, community organizations, and court representatives. Discover how the Library can support you with reliable resources that make legal information easier to understand and access. Explore topics like housing, family matters, and civil court procedures in a friendly, supportive setting.

This event will take place on the 2nd floor of Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh-Main (Oakland).

The Day’s Schedule:

10:00-11:00 AM | Beyond the Books: A Tour of Allegheny County Law Library’s Online Databases

A presentation by the Allegheny County Law Library on how the public can use professional legal research databases.

11:00 AM – 3:00 PM | Community Resource Fair (Drop-In)
Meet with representatives from organizations across Allegheny County. Walk through the second floor and speak directly with professionals who specialize in areas such as housing, family law, and employee rights.

Participating organizations includes: Allegheny County Bar Foundation; Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas, Child Custody Division; Disability Rights Pennsylvania; Duquesne University Thomas R. Kline School of Law; Fair Housing Partnership of Greater Pittsburgh; Hugh Lane Wellness Center; Justice at Work; Neighborhood Legal Services; Project Rehabilitate and Women’s Center & Shelter of Greater Pittsburgh Civil Law Project

3:00-4:00 PM | Featured Speaker:

The Honorable Nicola Henry-Taylor of the Court of Common Pleas of Allegheny County will speak about the importance of community access to legal information.
