ACLL Public Services

Members of the general public are welcome to visit during all operating hours. At Allegheny County Law Library, guests can

  • Use a Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh or Allegheny County Library Association library card to check out materials. CLP library cards can also be obtained at the library.

  • Access and reserve one of three meeting rooms. Each meeting room is equipped with technology suited for your various meeting needs--including class demonstration, private spaces, and more.  Reservations can be made in advance.
    Walk-ins welcome when meeting rooms are not in use.

  • Connect to our free Wi-Fi using your own laptop or mobile device.

  • Use legal databases on-site, including Westlaw and Lexis.

  • Locate applicable laws, regulations, cases, and forms.

  • Identify resources relating to your legal issue.

  • Discover information for legal representation agencies including modest means (based on income) and pro bono (free).

Additional services are available to library members, including remote access to library research databases and free CLE courses throughout the year.
