ACLL Public Services

Members of the general public are free to come to the library to perform their legal research. No library card is required to:

  • Locate applicable laws, regulations, cases, and forms

  • Consult library books on-site 

  • Use legal databases on-site, including Westlaw and Lexis

  • Get assistance from our friendly and knowledgeable staff

  • Find definitions of legal terms

  • Identify resources relating to your legal issue

  • Get contact information for legal representation agencies including modest means (based on income) and pro bono (free)

  • Use our free Wi-Fi for legal research-related tasks

Additional services are available to library members, including the ability to check out books and to remotely access library research databases.
